Taking up the petitions filed by the PTI and Sher Afzal Marwat, constitutional bench’s Justice Jamal Mandokhel rejected a request from the petitioner to allot numbers to the petitions, inquiring “Under what law a judicial commission should be formed?”
The SC judge further remarked “You have written in your petition that dozens of people were killed on May 9 but data of not a single victim was attached with the petition.”
Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi remarked “You should have pinned a single certificate or an FIR with your plea.”
The constitutional bench while giving time to counsels to prepare arguments about merits of the case, adjourning the hearing indefinitely.
When PTI’s lawyers requested the bench to set aside the objections raised by the Supreme Court’s Registrar Office and allot number to their application, Justice Mandokhel said the bench is ready to hear arguments about the merits of the case.
