PM Shehbaz assures full support to investments for sustainable economic development
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has encouraged sustainable economic development through investment in Pakistan, assuring full government support.

He was talking to a delegation of renowned businessmen in Islamabad on Friday.

The Prime Minister directed the introduction of a comprehensive scheme for long-term investment in Pakistan. He said a committee has already been established to facilitate exporters through an export facilitation scheme, which will soon present its draft proposals for approval.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that the economy is swiftly moving towards growth after achieving stability as a result of the efforts of the government's economic team. He emphasized the need for collective efforts for the country's economic progress.

The Prime Minister said addressing issues of the business community and is taking all possible measure in this regard. He noted that the digitization of the Federal Board of Revenue and other reforms are providing convenience to the business community. The Faceless Customs Clearance System has significantly reduced container clearance times at ports.

Shehbaz Sharif further said the government is ensuring the training of youth to supply industries with a skilled workforce. He said all vocation training institutions are being brought under one umbrella to streamline the system further.

Commending efforts of the Prime Minister's economic team, the delegation acknowledged the country's progress towards economic stability under Shehbaz Sharif's leadership.

The delegation members appreciated the government's efforts to generate new revenue sources, boosting the national exchequer. They appreciated the "Uraan Pakistan" program and its roadmap for economic development.

The business leaders lauded Prime Minister's initiative to provide professional skills to the youth, developing agriculture and industry and sending 1,000 students to China for advanced training. They were of the view that for the first time, the government is demonstrating seriousness in resolving the issues of the business community.

The inclusion of the business community in the consultative process, especially for budget planning, was welcomed, with participants expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister.

The participants lauded the Prime Minister's leadership in increasing revenues, reducing interest rates, and curbing inflation.

During the meeting, business representatives presented suggestions to address their issues.

The Prime Minister instructed the relevant ministries and secretaries to develop policy measures based on these suggestions after consultation with the business community.
