The Federal Cabinet greenlights budgetary proposals for FY2025-26

Federal Cabinet which met in Islamabad under the chair of with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved budgetary proposals for the fiscal year 2025-26. Sources said federal cabinet approved 6 percent hike in salaries and 7pc jump in pension of the government employees.

Addressing the Cabinet meeting, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that country’s economy was improving day by day as all economic indicators were showing upward trends.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that despite limited resources, the government was presenting the best budget.

PM Shehbaz said the government was increasing salaries and pensions of the employees beyond their capacity.

On the occasion, PM Shehbaz directed that all federal ministers should ensure their presence during budget session.
