Field Marshal Asim Munir meets top US civil, military leaders: ISPR

Chief of Amry Staff held high level meeting with senior military leadership during us visit.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held a series of high-level meetings with senior political and military leaders during his official visit to the United States, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Sunday.

The military’s media wing said that COAS Munir, who is currently in the US, also interacted with members of the Pakistani diaspora.

While in Tampa, the army chief attended the retirement ceremony of outgoing United States Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander General Michael E. Kurilla, as well as the Change of Command ceremony where Admiral Brad Cooper assumed command.

According to ISPR, the COAS praised General Kurilla’s outstanding leadership and his significant role in enhancing bilateral military ties, while extending best wishes to Admiral Cooper and expressing confidence in continued cooperation to tackle shared security challenges.

Field Marshal Munir also met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine to discuss matters of mutual professional interest, and invited him to visit Pakistan.

On the sidelines, COAS Asim Munir also interacted with Chiefs of Defence from friendly nations.

During an interactive session with the Pakistani diaspora, the COAS urged them to remain confident in Pakistan’s bright future and to actively contribute to attracting investments.

The diaspora reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Pakistan’s progress and development, the press release concluded.
