Field Marshal underscores need for civil-military unity and effective governance

He made these remarks during his visit to Turbat in Balochistan, where he, along with Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and other officials, received a detailed briefing on the security situation, successful operations against Fitna al-Hindustan, and ongoing development initiatives, according to a statement by the ISPR on Saturday.
The Field Marshal reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s steadfast support for the socio-economic development of Balochistan.
Asim Munir emphasized the Army’s commitment to stand alongside the people of Balochistan in their pursuit of peace, prosperity, and sustainable growth.
The ISPR stated that the COAS’s visit aimed to review the current security landscape, evaluate development projects, and strengthen coordination between military and civil institutions for Balochistan’s stability and progress.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, the chief secretary, and other senior officials were also present during the briefing.
The Field Marshal was given a comprehensive briefing on the security dynamics including threat perspective and successful operations against Fitna al-Hindustan, ongoing development projects, and efforts to enhance socio-economic conditions in southern Balochistan.
During interaction with CM Balochistan and representatives of the civil administration, Asim Munir highlighted the need for good governance, infrastructure development, and the importance of inclusive, people-centric progress.
The Army Chief emphasized the significance of joint civil-military efforts in addressing the challenges faced by the people of Balochistan and reaffirmed unwavering support for all initiatives aimed at improving the southern Balochistan’s socio-economic development.
During his interaction with troops, the COAS appreciated their high morale, operational readiness, and unflinching commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty.
He commended their role in ensuring peace and stability in the region under challenging circumstances.
Upon his arrival, Field Marshal Asim Munir was received by Corps Commander Balochistan.
