Lammy contacts Dar, reiterates UK’s aid commitment to flood-hit Pakistan

British Secretary of State David Lammy contacted Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday, expressing his heartfelt condolences over the loss of lives in the recent floods.

According to Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, Lammy reaffirmed the UK’s support and solidarity with Pakistan during this challenging time.

The spokesperson added that Lammy also conveyed his best wishes for Dar’s ongoing visit to London, expressing hope for successful and productive meetings with British officials.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed gratitude for Britain’s solidarity and its offer to support Pakistan in relief and rehabilitation efforts.

Ishaq Dar also voiced hope for continued engagement and stronger ties with the British leadership.
