PM Shehbaz receives condolence call from President Erdogan over floods in Pakistan

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Türkiye on Thursday, during which the Turkish leader extended his heartfelt condolences over the devastating floods affecting several parts of Pakistan.

President Erdogan expressed solidarity with the people of Pakistan on the loss of lives and property and assured that Türkiye was ready to extend all possible assistance, including support in rescue and relief operations.

Thanking the Turkish President for his kind sentiments and generous offer of help, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the gesture reflected the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Pakistan and Türkiye. He emphasized that both nations had always supported each other during difficult times.

The two leaders also recalled their recent interactions earlier this year and expressed eagerness to meet again on the sidelines of the upcoming SCO Summit in Tianjin, China.
