Rain accompanied by thunderstorms swept across several cities in Punjab, bringing cooler temperatures and refreshing weather. In Kamalia, showers with thunder and lightning were recorded in the city and adjoining areas.

Sarai Alamgir saw a spell of heavy rainfall, affecting both urban and rural localities.

Downpours were also reported in Pindi Bhattian, while Wazirabad witnessed intense rain along with thunderstorms.

Jalalpur Bhattian experienced persistent heavy showers that lasted for much of the day.

Vehari and Muridke were hit by strong rainfall as well, causing waterlogging in some parts.

In Khanqah Dogran, near Safdarabad, torrential rain disrupted daily routines.

Showers in Haveli Lakha led to a noticeable dip in temperatures, making the weather pleasant for residents.

Meanwhile, Daska faced heavy rainfall, which inundated several low-lying neighborhoods.

Khushab also received rain, contributing to improved weather conditions across the region.

Authorities are monitoring the situation, particularly in areas prone to urban flooding, as rain continues in various parts of the province specially Lahore.

Heavy rains are expected in Sindh and eastern and southern Baluchistan from 27th to 29th August, Pakistan Meteorological Department said in a forecast.

Fresh monsoon system may affect Karachi and other parts of Sindh from August 27.

Rainfall is expected in Sindh and Baluchistan between August 27 and 29.

Rainfall is also expected in Mithi, Thar Parkar, Umer Kot and Mirpur Khas from Saturday evening to 26th August with occasional gaps.
