Indian army and institutions shaped by extremist mindset, says ISPR DG

Speaking to a German news outlet on September 5, Lt-Gen Chaudhry stressed that international stakeholders, particularly the United States, must step in to address the root causes fueling tensions between Pakistan and India.
Commenting on the May clashes between the two nuclear-armed neighbours, the ISPR chief noted that although a ceasefire exists, the underlying disputes persist.
“The conflicts remain whether it is the Kashmir issue or India’s state-sponsored terrorism,” he said.
Whether it is the rising extremism of Hindutva mentality, or rationality that has gripped India.
"It is important for the international community through its mediation, the Indians are made to realise that this sort of irrationality, strategic arrogance, hubristic attitude that they've adopted, its not going to work."
