KP operations: 12 soldiers martyred, 35 terrorists killed, says ISPR

35 terrorists of the Indian-backed outfit Fitna al-Khwarij were eliminated during two separate operations
Twelve Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred, while 35 terrorists of the Indian-backed outfit Fitna al-Khwarij were eliminated during two separate operations carried out between September 10 and 13 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

According to ISPR, security forces launched an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur District after receiving reports of Khwarij presence.

In the ensuing exchange of fire, 22 Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed.

In a separate encounter in South Waziristan District, security forces neutralized another 13 Khwarij, the military’s media wing confirmed.

“During the intense exchange, 12 valiant sons of the soil fought bravely and embraced martyrdom,” the statement added.

Weapons and large quantities of ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who were involved in multiple attacks across the region.

The ISPR further revealed that intelligence reports confirmed the direct involvement of Afghan nationals in these terrorist acts.

“The continued use of Afghan soil by Fitna al-Khwarij remains a matter of serious concern for Pakistan,” it said.

Pakistan expects the Interim Afghan Government to uphold its responsibilities and deny use of its soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan,” the statement said.

“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country, and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR concluded.
