Pakistan marks Air Force Day with national pride and passion

The nation is observing Air Force Day with great zeal and fervor
Today, the nation is observing Air Force Day with great zeal and fervor. It was on this day, September 7, 1965, that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) showcased unmatched courage and professionalism, inflicting a decisive defeat on the Indian Air Force.

One of the most remarkable feats of that war was achieved by Squadron Leader Muhammad Mahmood Alam, who stunned the world by downing four Indian aircraft in less than 30 seconds.

Speaking at the change of guards ceremony at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, Air Vice Marshal Shehryar Khan recalled the sacrifices of September 6.

He said that Operation Banyan Al-Marsoos had revived those memories and cautioned that if India made another miscalculation, “the score of 6-0 will not stop there — it will become 60-0.”

He further stated that it was a matter of pride for the PAF Academy Asghar Khan to take over the guard duties at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam.

September 6, he added, will always remind the nation of the day when the enemy’s designs were decisively crushed.

He said that the PAF was ready on every front. “The Pakistan Air Force has lived up to the hopes of the people.

The Air Force has never disappointed the people. We are proud that the Pakistan Air Force is at the forefront in times of peace as well as war,” he added.

Air Vice Marshal assured the nation that the defence of Pakistan's airspace was in the strong hands of the air force.

He said that technological innovation has made the Pakistan Air Force famous in the world and next time the score will not be limited to six zero, but it will be 60 zero.
