Lodhran Honors Its Fallen Motorway Heroes Today

The bodies of two motorway policemen who died in a road accident near Sumandari yesterday will be laid to rest in Lodhran today.

Martyred policemen Mohammad Qamar belonged to Khawajawala Chowk and Zafar Iqbal was a Chak No. 74 WB resident.

Earlier on Sunday, two police officers of the special branch died and seven others received critical injuries when their vehicle met with an accident near Samundari.

The Multan Special Branch vehicle was going back after performing duties at a cricket match in Lahore.

As a result of the accident, Technical Staff Supervisor Qamar Hussain (resident of Vehari) and Supervisor Zafar Iqbal Lodhran were martyred.

Seven employees were injured in the accident and were shifted to the hospital after being provided with first aid.

The funeral prayers of the martyred officials will be offered at Police Lines, Multan.
