A meeting of the federal cabinet was under way with PM Shehbaz Sharif

A meeting of the federal cabinet was under way in Islamabad on Friday with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in the chair. According to the agenda of the meeting, the overall situation in the country will be discussed.

The meeting will lay focus on country's economic and political situation.

The cabinet will also ratify the decisions of the Sub-Committee on Legislation made on December 3 and December 30.

Important developments are expected regarding the local government elections in Islamabad.
