DPM Dar underscores commitment to international law, UN Charter

He was addressing closing ceremony of four-day training programme, “Advanced Treaty Practice: From Signature to Domestic Law,” in Islamabad today.
The event was organised by Ministry of Law and Justice in collaboration with International Mediation and Arbitration Centre.
Ishaq Dar welcomed and congratulated the participants from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, Pakistan, and TĂĽrkiye, and commended their active engagement throughout the course. He appreciated efforts of the Ministry of Law and Justice, IMAC, and Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar for successfully convening a high-quality capacity-building initiative for friendly countries focused on strengthening treaty practice.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s constructive role as a responsible member of the United Nations Security Council over the past two years and reaffirmed the importance of treaty compliance, legal certainty, and peaceful dispute resolution in maintaining a stable international order.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong and enduring partnerships with the friendly countries of Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, and TĂĽrkiye.
The event concluded with distribution of certificates to participants, marking the successful completion of the programme.
