Religious Minister lauds Hajj Mission’s exceptional services during Hajj

Addressing a post-Hajj news conference in Makkah today, he attributed the success of this year’s Hajj operations to the special interest and able leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
Radio Pakistan correspondent Asad Ullah Khan reports from Makkah that the Minister commended the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Pakistan Hajj Mission for securing the Excellence Award from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for the second consecutive year.
The Minister expressed satisfaction over all operational, monitoring and evaluation processes carried out throughout the Hajj rituals.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf described Hajj 2026 as an exemplary success and announced that preparations for next year's pilgrimage have already begun following the receipt of the Saudi Hajj Policy and timeline.
He also praised the officials of the Pakistan Hajj Mission for ensuring a smooth Mashair journey for pilgrims in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.
He said three top awards were also announced for the private sector Hajj firms of Pakistan.
Sardar Yousaf said all the Khuddam ul Hujjaj and the Nazimeen played a key role in providing services to Hujjaj round the clock without any delay.
Regarding the success of Pakistan Medical Mission’s services, the Minister said that the Hujjaj were treated by the medical mission through thirty-four fully functional dispensaries. He said around 140 sick pilgrims were accommodated during Mashair days by wheelchairs, buses and ambulances.
Regarding provision of facilities at Mashair camps, he said sofa-cum-beds, chillers, three-time meals, cold drinks and ice cream were provided to Pakistani Hujjaj.
Regarding transportation of Hujjaj to Mashair, he said the whole transport system was systematic and well-organized.
The Minister said almost seventy five percent of Hujjaj reached destinations on time. He said 65,387 pilgrims used the train and 53,287 traveled by bus during Mashair days.
He said four Pakistani Camp offices at Mina, Arafart and a dedicated back-end call center at Makkah were made operational during Mashair days.
The Minister said the Saudi Arabia government has already announced policy and timelines for Hajj 2027.
He said the preliminary work has already been started from May 29 in this regard.
Regarding accommodation, the Minister said that equal and uniform buildings should be acquired for Pakistani Hujjaj next year.
The Minister said safe and comfortable buildings were hired in Makkah for pilgrims, offering free family accommodation where possible while in Madinah, 100 percent of pilgrims were accommodated in three and five-star hotels in close proximity to Masjid al-Nabawi (SAWW).
The Minister said the complaints ratio was less than one percent during Hajj 2026.
Meanwhile, the Minister also expressed profound gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for their excellent arrangements and historical hospitality extended to the Pakistani pilgrims.
Concluding the press conference, he thanked the media for positive reporting and countering fake news during the Holy pilgrimage.
