Religious scholars pledge support to Govt for promoting peace

Religious scholars and Ulema have announced their complete support for the state's positive initiatives aimed at promoting peace, harmony, social stability and national security in the country.

This resolve was expressed during a high-level meeting held in Islamabad today under the chairmanship of Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf.

The Ulema and Mashaikh also expressed their unwavering support for the Armed Forces of Pakistan in their efforts to maintain peace, stability, and national unity.

They reaffirmed their commitment to the supremacy of the Constitution and the stability of state institutions.

They expressed complete solidarity with the government and security forces against terrorism, extremism, and subversive activities.

Paying rich tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces, the Ulema and Mashaikh said that the entire nation is indebted to the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs and Ghazis.

The Ulema urged scholars of all schools of thought to promote national unity and harmony.
