Fog Forces Closure of M-1 Motorway for Traffic

A section of the motorway connecting Peshawar to Islamabad (M-1) was closed for traffic from Peshawar to Chach Interchange on Thursday morning due to dense fog.

A spokesperson for the Motorway Police (MP) stated that the closure was implemented to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of motorists.

He urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel during foggy conditions and to use fog lights if travel is absolutely essential.

Motorists were also advised to drive at reduced speeds and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.

The spokesperson added that travelers could obtain updated information by calling the police helpline at 130 before starting their journey. Updates are also available on the MP’s official social media accounts.

Three injured in accident on M4

Three people were seriously wounded in a collision between bus, car and Mazda near Makhdoom Pur Interchange on M4 on Thursday.

According to Rescue 1122, The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital, Kabirwala.

The department said that the vehicles were travelling from Lahore to Multan when they met with an accident.
